About Sunny Builders Group
A licensed, local San Diego contractor that designs and builds outdoor spaces with one crew, start to finish.
One local crew, start to finish
Sunny Builders Group is a licensed, bonded and insured California contractor on Convoy Court in San Diego. We build backyards and outdoor spaces across San Diego County and Temecula Valley, and we have been family-owned and operated since 2012.
Run by the owners
Sunny Barak, founder and owner, and Sharon Ben Moshe, owner, run the company. Sunny has been on job sites since he was twelve and has 30 years in the trade.
Military habits
Both founders served in the military, and it shows in the details: crews arrive when they said they would, and the site gets swept before anyone leaves.
No handoffs
Most projects go wrong at the handoffs, when one company designs, another grades and a third lays pavers. We keep design and build under one roof.
A crew of around 60
Our crew covers design, hardscape, concrete, carpentry and the finish trades, and you keep one point of contact the whole way through.
One quote, one team
You get one written quote up front, broken down line by line, and the same team from the first measurement to the final walkthrough.
Indoor work, too
Outdoor living is most of what we build. As a licensed general contractor, we also handle kitchens, bathrooms and flooring when a project moves indoors.
The promises behind the paperwork
Licensed, bonded and insured, in practice
If a worker is hurt on your property, our workers’ compensation and liability insurance covers it, not your homeowner’s policy. If the work doesn’t meet code, a licensed contractor is accountable to the state, not just to you, and the contractor’s bond exists precisely so a homeowner has recourse. Hiring unlicensed labor to save money shifts all of that risk onto your shoulders. We carry the license, the bond and the insurance so you don’t have to carry the risk.
A quote you can actually read
Before any work starts, you get a written quote that breaks the project down line by line: materials, labor and scope, not a single lump number you have to trust blindly. If something changes once we’re underway, you approve it in writing before it happens. No surprise invoices.
Local, on purpose
Every property is different: slope, soil, sun exposure and local permitting all shape how a project comes together. Being local means we already know the conditions your yard will throw at us, and we’re close enough to show up when something needs a second look.
Done means walked through
Done isn’t when the crew packs up the trucks. Before we call a project finished, we walk the site with you, point by point, checking it against the original quote. If anything isn’t right, we fix it before we consider the job closed.
